The World of Commercial Interior Design is Changing
At Mobius, we have always been technology-led, being an early adopter of 3D Revit and BIM. With the latest developments in the world of gaming software we have been improving our client experience by using our blend of 3D technology and Virtual Reality.
We were recently asked to use our approach to help with the marketing of a brand-new building in Woking called Space. Development partners Lamron Estates, BNP Paribas and CBRE wanted to show prospective occupiers the true potential of this building but wanted to do it a little differently.
We know that it takes more than just drawings to bring a space to life, for it to inspire. So, we have provided a state-of-the-art immersive Virtual Reality experience that allows prospective occupiers to walk through a floor of the fully fitted-out and furnished building – being able to see everything; right down to the laptops on the desk.
In order to create this experience, we developed our own Oculus Go Headset App. Looking into the headset the user is immediately in a virtual theatre. We placed vinyl coloured disks on the floor throughout the floor and created various 360 scenes that correspond with the thumbnails in the headset theatre. All the user has to do is walk through the building, stand on the disk, pop the headset on and simply immerse themselves in the 360 views.
Do you have an empty building, or even one that hasn’t been built yet that needs a virtual tour created for it? Then get in touch, we’d love to talk through how Mobius can help you with your next project.
